mittens
My inventory of stuff Grandmother made continues.
She did her share of knitting, and I have some mittens and tons of warm woolen socks. Today I did this pair of mittens. They have always reminded me of piglets of Wild boars. Suits my imagination well.
Like the bells I did this with gouache without any sketching first. And then I was just about to add some ink with my dip pen but I took the time to scan it first. Here are the before and after.

That pen really brought it to life! I did a similar thing a couple of days ago but mine failed miserably instead of getting better!

Looks great! I am just the opposite, I draw in ink first. I will have to try it your way!
