Five facts

I was tagged by Martìn who recently saw the CD he made the cover for in the store for the first time. “Now, here’s a list of 5 artists, who should tell 5 facts about themselves and tag other 5 artists.”

Five facts about me..

1. My first has to be just that about the cd. I know exactly the feeling when you see the CD cover you made in the store for the first time because a long time ago I did just that. Some friends had a band and I did a woodcut. For a short while it was in the windows of a CD store in the town I lived in then. Umeå. Pax Vobiscum

2. I have big, big troubles regarding this life as a blog person. I think I have written about this ones or twice (to my brother a hundred times): The thing is that I have problems with anxiety when it comes to comment on other peoples blogs. In the beginning I thought that I just had to get used to it and tried to force myself to leave comments to get over it but I can’t. Sometimes I could spend one hour trying to just type something down and then erase everything. I find this very weird. And frustrating. But I do leave some comments, I publish about one of twenty five times of trying.

3. Once an art teacher told me that it would be a waste for the society if I don’t work in art. The year after that I worked with an art teacher (some kind of internship), I loved it, hated Fridays, couldn’t wait until Monday morning. But after that I have been working with everything else but art.

4. I love superhero movies. Marvel!

5. I have been reading a lot during my life. I am usually a quick reader but in August last year I started with Neal Stephenson: Quicksilver, and right now it seems like it will take at least until August to finish it. I love the book but this one is not written in the easiest English and I don’t have a lot of time. If you haven’t read it yet I will offer you just one sentence to give you the feel about it.
“There was no other furniture in the room, although the eight-foot-high grandfather clock in the adjoining hall contributed a sort of immediate presence with the heaving to and fro of its cannonball-sized pendulum, witch made the entire house lean from one side to the other like a drunk out for a brisk walk, and the palpable grinding of its gear-train, and the wild clamorous bonging that exploded from it at intervals that seemed suspiciously random, and that caused flocks of migrating waterfowl, thousands of fell overhead, to collide with each other in panic and veer into new courses.”

I won’t tag five others. But I would love to read five things about everyone so feel free!

My computer has a week or two off. He needed a break and won’t serve me with some things like talk to the scanner. No sketches for a while!

EDM #157 - Draw a towel

This is a kitchen towel that grandmother Elisabeth wove. She made a bunch of course and they are now spread in the family, I have two of them I think. I love them!

view from my desk

One of the cats who lives around here has learned that this neighbor has some excellent and tasty cat food for her indoor cat. He spends hours waiting for her to open the door so he might be able to sneak in.

He has a couple of different spots he likes for that purpose. One of them is up on a high fence just beside her door. Totally invisible, not.

Flower

Testing new things is always fun.
This is pen and watercolor as usual but I used a needle to scratch the fine lines on the paper before the first wash.
I like it.

Need to buy some heavier paper.
